Job summary

Evolution Mining's Cowal Gold Operations seeks a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead sustaining capital projects, plant upgrades and site improvements. You will mentor engineers, coordinate with contractors and stakeholders, and ensure safe, reliable outcomes across mechanical, structural and civil disciplines.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in Mechanical Engineering.
• Significant engineering experience within mining, minerals processing, power generation or heavy industry environments.
• Proven success delivering capital projects and sustaining plant improvements.
• Strong contractor, consultant and stakeholder management capability.
• Experience applying reliability centred maintenance principles and engineering governance frameworks.
• Ability to lead people, take ownership and deliver outcomes with minimal supervision.

This is an opportunity to lead major engineering projects that directly influence the performance, reliability and future growth of one of Australia's leading gold operations.

As our Senior Mechanical Engineer, you'll provide leadership across a diverse portfolio of sustaining capital projects, plant upgrades and site improvement initiatives. From concept development through to execution and asset handover, you'll play a key role in delivering safe, reliable and cost effective outcomes while mentoring a capable team of engineers and working closely with contractors, consultants and operational stakeholders.

Working a family friendly 5:2/4:3 residential roster, you'll enjoy the balance of meaningful technical and leadership responsibility while helping shape critical projects across mechanical, structural and civil disciplines. Reporting to the Engineering and Projects Superintendent, you'll:

• Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status or progression towards registration.

• Exposure to fixed plant assets including conveyors, pumps, crushers, mills and materials handling systems.
