Job summary

NSW Health Pathology invites applications for a Medical Laboratory Scientist in the Genetics department at Royal North Shore Hospital. The role is a permanent full-time position with 38 hours per week and a salary range of $79,433.52 to $113,298.98 per annum plus superannuation.

You will deliver operational laboratory activities, coordinate scientific training, and lead quality improvement initiatives while supporting pathology services across NSW Health Pathology.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree or higher in Science/Medical Laboratory Science or equivalent.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Laboratory Information Systems and quality control.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with customers, patients, and staff.
• Ability to work under pressure, manage priorities and meet deadlines.
• Team player with initiative and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of work health and safety and privacy requirements.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a range of operational laboratory activities.
