Job summary

NSW Health Pathology is seeking an enthusiastic Medical Laboratory Scientist to join the Genetics department at Royal North Shore Hospital. The role delivers a range of laboratory activities and contributes to quality management and continuous improvement.

Work is at Royal North Shore with a permanent full-time contract. Applicants must hold a science/MLS degree and demonstrate strong communication and teamwork in a fast-paced diagnostic setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or higher in Science/Medical Laboratory Science with pathology subjects.
• Experience with LIS, Patient Systems and QC Systems; proficient in MS Office.
• Strong communication, report writing and data analysis; able to manage priorities.

Responsibilities

• Deliver operational lab activities including coordination and provision of scientific and technical training.
• Review, develop and quality manage laboratory practices for compliance and improvement.
• Ensure adherence to standards and drive continual process improvement.
