Job summary

NSW Health Pathology is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist to join the Genetics department at Royal North Shore Hospital in NSW. You will deliver operational laboratory activities, coordinate scientific training, and contribute to quality management and continual improvement to meet standards and procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or higher in Science/Medical Laboratory Science or equivalent
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the delivery of pathology services including use of LIS, Patient Systems and QC Systems
• Strong communication and report writing skills; ability to prioritise and work in a team

Responsibilities

• Deliver a range of operational laboratory activities including coordination and provision of scientific and technical training
• Ongoing review, development and quality management of laboratory practices to ensure compliance with standards
• Support continual process improvement and safe, efficient lab operations
