Job summary

Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District invites applications for a Clinical Superintendent in General Surgery at Nepean Hospital. The role includes leadership within the Division of Surgery & Anaesthetics, teaching and research engagement, and participation in quality improvement initiatives.

The successful candidate will have FRACS, AHPRA eligibility/registration and a track record of high-standard clinical practice, with strong communication and team skills required for this leadership

Qualifications

• Current medical practitioner registered or eligible with AHPRA, and FRACS fellowship.
• Demonstrated high-standard clinical practice and evidence-based care.
• Strong communication, teamwork and problem-solving in a clinical setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership within General Surgery and participate in teaching, research and quality improvement.
• Supervise junior medical staff and registrars; support prevocational and advanced trainees.
• Engage in credentialing and privileging across Nepean Blue Mountains facilities as required.
