Job summary

Serco's Cabarlah Clinic near Toowoomba invites a civilian GP to deliver high-quality primary care to Defence members in an occupational medicine setting, with longer appointments and dedicated admin time. Roles include permanent part-time opportunities and predictable hours, with no Medicare billing and on-base facilities.

You will perform fitness-for-duty assessments, deployment health, injury and chronic disease management, and work with a multidisciplinary team to prioritise patient

Qualifications

• Unrestricted AHPRA registration as a General Practitioner.
• FRACGP, FACRRM or Vocational Registration.
• Minimum two years’ GP experience in the last five years in a GP Setting (GPT counts).
• Current CPR certification (HLTAID009).
• Australian Citizenship required (Baseline Security Clearance).
• Commitment to CPD and ethical, patient-centred care.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality primary care to Defence members.
• Occupational Medicine environment, including fitness-for-duty assessments and pre/post-deployment care, plus injury and chronic disease management.
• Collaborate in a multidisciplinary clinical environment where patient wellbeing is paramount.

Cabarlah Clinic is located within Borneo Barracks, 14km north of Toowoomba. The barracks is home to the tri-service Defence Force School of Signals’ Electronic Warfare Wing and has approximately 250 members. The Clinic provides primary medical, dental, nursing, mental health and physiotherapy services to the base. Clinic staff may be required to work across Cabarlah & Oakey. Standard operating hours of the centre are generally 0700-1630 Monday – Friday (depending on role requirements). After-hours, weekend and on-call shifts may be required depending on role requirements and base location
