A Canberra-based consulting firm is seeking a General Manager to lead the delivery and growth of complex programs across government and industry clients. This is a senior leadership role for someone who thrives on delivering outcomes in high-stakes environments.

You will be responsible for overseeing multiple engagements, leading consulting teams, and ensuring the successful execution of work across a diverse client portfolio.

Qualifications

• An ability to sell, or cultivate new business (budget $8m+) through new and existing contacts.
• Proven experience leading delivery within a consulting, Defence, or government environment.
• Strong background in program or project delivery, ideally within complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage large or sensitive engagements.
• Credibility with senior stakeholders, with the ability to influence and build trusted relationships.
• Strong understanding of governance, assurance, and delivery frameworks.
• Commercial awareness, with an appreciation of how delivery drives sustainable growth.
• Experience working with or within the Canberra government landscape is highly regarded.

• Act as a trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders, navigating complex environments and driving outcomes.
• Embed strong delivery frameworks, reporting, and assurance practices across engagements.
• Support business growth through client relationships, repeat work, and contribution to bids and proposals where required.
