Job summary

dnata catering is seeking a General Manager, Inflight Retail to lead our Jetstar partnership across Asia Pacific. This senior role combines commercial ownership with operational delivery, spanning strategy, pricing, merchandising and digital offers.

Based in Brisbane, Gold Coast or Melbourne, you will drive revenue, governance and service excellence while building trusted relationships with Jetstar and internal teams to deliver customer‑centred inflight retail.

Qualifications

• Experience in aviation in a senior commercial leadership role is strongly preferred.
• Senior commercial leadership with end-to-end P&L ownership in aviation, retail, hospitality or complex services.
• Proven ability to drive growth and margin using customer insight and disciplined execution.
• Strong key account capability with governance, negotiation and contract management.
• Collaborative, decisive leader who aligns cross-functional teams in safety and compliance.

• Own the Jetstar inflight retail commercial agenda end-to-end (P&L, growth, margin and governance).
• Set the retail strategy and translate insight into a winning offer (range, pricing, merchandising, promotions and digital).
• Be the senior dnata partner to Jetstar – building trusted relationships, leading reviews, and managing risk and escalation.
• Ensure delivery excellence across dnata and third-party partners – SLAs, supplier performance, service recovery and quality.
• Lead the cross-functional account team and financial cadence (budget, forecast, reporting), driving continuous improvement.

About the role

We are seeking a General Manager, Inflight Retail to lead our retail partnership with Jetstar Airways across the Asia Pacific region. This full-time, permanent role can be based in Brisbane, Gold Coast (Coolangatta) or Melbourne.

You will lead the commercial and operational performance of dnata’s inflight retail program, driving revenue, profitability and service excellence while ensuring safe and compliant delivery across dnata sites and partner networks.

As dnata’s senior representative to Jetstar, you will build strong and trusted stakeholder relationships, bring sound commercial judgement to key discussions, align priorities across both organisations, and deliver commercial value through a proactive and high-performing partnership.

What do you need to be successful in this role?

• Experience in aviation in a comparable senior commercial leadership role is strongly preferred, particularly within inflight retail or airline account management.
• Senior commercial leadership experience with end-to-end P&L ownership in aviation, retail, hospitality or a complex service environment.
• Proven ability to drive growth and margin using customer insight, data and disciplined execution.
• Strong key account capability – governance, negotiation, contract management and stakeholder influence.Commercial and financial acumen (forecasting, reporting and decision support) with high personal accountability.
• Collaborative, decisive leader who can align cross-functional teams and partners in a safety, quality and compliance-driven environment.
