EVT Limited is seeking a General Manager for Horizons Lake Jindabyne to oversee hotel operations, drive revenue and ensure outstanding guest service in the Snowy Mountains. The role requires strong leadership, budgeting and stakeholder management across rooms, F&B, events and maintenance.

You’ll manage annual plans, forecast performance, and lead with a high-energy, guest-centric approach while aligning with EVT’s hospitality vision and seasonal cycle requirements.

About the Role

As General Manager, you are ultimately accountable for the success of Horizons Lake Jindabyne, balancing guest satisfaction, team performance, operational excellence, and financial results while positioning the property as a leading accommodation destination in the Snowy Mountains region.

This would also align well with responsibilities you've likely undertaken such as budgeting, staffing, revenue management, owner relations, maintenance planning, tourism partnerships, and overseeing the property's performance throughout both peak snow and off-peak seasons.

This role is key to delivering EVT’s Hospitality vision. You’ll drive performance, inspire a high energy culture, and lead with purpose. Delivering exceptional service, driving revenue, and keeping operations running at their best, while leading with energy and purpose.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operations across rooms, F&B, conferencing and maintenance, maintaining high standards of presentation, safety and service.
• Own budgeting, forecasting and reporting, driving revenue, occupancy, ADR and profitability while controlling costs.
• Lead, develop and manage department managers and teams, from recruitment through to performance and succession planning.
• Champion exceptional guest experience, monitoring feedback and reviews and building lasting relationships with guests, corporate clients and tourism partners.
• Partner with sales and marketing to maximise occupancy and revenue, growing group, conference and event business.
• Manage compliance, risk, safety and licensing obligations, including property security, emergency procedures and capital works programs.
• Act as the key liaison with the Owners Corporation and Strata Committee, overseeing common property, building assets, contractor performance and capital works.

What You’ll Bring

• Proven experience leading hotel, resort or strata-titled property operations, with strong financial and commercial acumen.
• Strong leadership and team management skills, with a track record of building high-performing, guest-focused teams.
• Ideally experience preferred but not essential with Strata Legislation, Owners Corporation governance and experience working with building managers and contractors.
• Excellent guest service, conflict resolution, negotiation and stakeholder management skills, able to balance competing priorities.
• Strategic, adaptable approach with strong problem-solving skills, suited to a seasonal tourism environment.
• Current NSW RSA and experience managing licensed venues under NSW liquor licensing legislation, with willingness to hold the NSW Liquor Licence as approved manager.
• Strong understanding of compliance obligations relating to alcohol service and venue operations.
