Job summary

Quick Release is expanding its Geelong team and seeks a Graduate/Junior Design Engineer for a fixed-term 9-month contract. The role focuses on developing SolidWorks CAD models, GD&T drawings, and supporting product development across automotive, aerospace, and manufacturing projects.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s in Mechanical/Automotive/Mechatronics, can analyze data and communicate effectively within cross-functional teams, and is eager to contribute to high-performance product

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Automotive, mechatronics or related engineering field.
Experience using SolidWorks for 3D CAD modelling and drawings.
Strong analytical, written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional engineering team.

Responsibilities

Support Product Development activities with assigned engineering tasks.
Develop and update SolidWorks CAD models and drawings, including GD&T.
Support DFMEA and DVP development, test planning and test-data analysis.
Prepare and maintain engineering documentation, reports and updates.
Work to defined project timelines under the direction of engineering leads.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to customer technical presentations.
