Job summary

ĐUKA Tec in Melbourne, VIC, is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our growing team on a full-time basis. You will translate concepts into detailed SolidWorks designs for EV systems, create 3D models, drawings, BOMs, and work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver robust, manufacturable solutions.

You will contribute to battery enclosures, chassis components, and other vehicle services, applying GD&T, AS 1100 standards, and high-voltage safety considerations while supporting

Qualifications

Experience as Mechanical Design Engineer or Mechanical Designer.
SolidWorks proficiency with assemblies, sheet metal, and weldments.
Automotive/electric vehicle design experience preferred.
AS 1100 standards and GD&T familiarity.
BOM creation and engineering documentation.

Responsibilities

Design and model components and assemblies for EV systems.
Create 3D sketches and parametric models and routings.
Design battery enclosures, mounting systems, and chassis components.
Create production drawings and BOMs per AS 1100 and standards.
Convert AutoCAD 2D drawings to SolidWorks 3D models and docs.
Support R&D, prototyping, testing, and validation.
Collaborate with electrical, software, manufacturing teams.
