This is a hands‑on role for a practical, technically minded person who takes pride in accurate assembly, quality workmanship and delivering equipment that performs reliably for our customers.
As a Gearbox Assembler, you will fit and assemble industrial gearboxes, motors and decentralised drive systems in accordance with customer specifications, work orders and NORD's global assembly standards.
You will work with precision mechanical components, technical drawings, bills of materials and measuring equipment. Your work will directly contribute to the quality and reliability of drive systems used by customers in Australia and around the world.
You are level-headed, honest, respectful and self‑motivated. You take ownership of your work, pay attention to detail and understand that quality assembly matters to the customer.

This is a hands‑on, physical role carried out in a workshop environment. The work involves regular standing, walking, bending, reaching and handling mechanical components and tools throughout the day. You must be comfortable remaining active for extended periods, including up to 8–10 hours when required, and working safely with mechanical components, tools, presses and workshop equipment.
