Job summary

Qualifications

• Recognised apprenticeship or trade qualification in manufacturing or mechanical assembly.
• 3–5 years trade experience in general assembly or similar industrial manufacturing role.
• Understanding of industrial power transmission products and mechanical assemblies.
• Ability to read drawings, BOMs, and work instructions.
• Experience reading electrical schematics or willingness to learn.
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn NORD software tools.

Responsibilities

• Read work orders and technical drawings to determine assembly sequence.
• Fit and assemble gears, shafts, gear cases, rotors and sub-assemblies.
• Assemble decentralised drive systems onto industrial geared motors.
• Check components for accuracy, clearance and fit.
• Use precision measuring equipment such as micrometers.
• Read electrical schematics relevant to assembly work.
• Prepare gearboxes and motors for dispatch.
• Follow quality requirements and safety procedures.
