Job summary

NCS Australia is seeking a hands-on GCP Platform Engineer to design, build and operate Google Cloud platforms for enterprise clients, focusing on hybrid connectivity, networking, Terraform, CI/CD, security and observability.

You will collaborate with cloud architects, data engineers and security specialists, take a platform from design through production, and help drive modernisation with clear communication and practical governance.

Qualifications

• Hands-on GCP networking experience with VPC/Shared VPC, subnetting and firewall policies.
• Experience with hybrid connectivity services (Cloud Interconnect, Cloud VPN, HA VPN, Cloud Router).
• Proficient in Terraform and CI/CD pipelines across multiple GCP environments.
• Knowledge of IAM, Cloud KMS, Secret Manager and Cloud Armor.
• Comfortable documenting designs and communicating trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and operate Google Cloud platforms for enterprise clients.
• Develop and maintain Terraform configurations across environments.
• Build and support CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure changes.
• Implement logging, monitoring, and operational dashboards across cloud/hybrid environments.
• Troubleshoot connectivity and infrastructure issues across GCP and on-premises systems.
• Contribute to incident response and architecture reviews.
