Job summary

NCS Australia is seeking a skilled GCP Platform Engineer to design, build and operate cloud platforms for enterprise clients across hybrid environments.

You will work with cloud architects, data engineers and security specialists, delivering end-to-end platform design, implementation and production support with a strong focus on security and observability. This role is hands-on and client-facing, with opportunities to take ownership in design decisions.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with GCP networking including VPC, Shared VPC, routing, firewall policies.
• Practical experience writing Terraform and supporting CI/CD pipelines.
• Working knowledge of IAM, Secret Manager, Cloud KMS and Cloud Armor.
• Ability to produce clear technical designs and runbooks.
• Experience with security and observability practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and operate Google Cloud platforms for enterprise clients.
• Implement hybrid connectivity between on-premises data centres and Google Cloud.
• Develop and maintain Terraform configurations across environments.
• Build and support CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure changes.
• Provide incident response and architecture reviews.
