Job summary

UniSC Sunshine Coast is seeking an experienced program leader to oversee the implementation of the National Higher Education Code to Prevent and Respond to Gender-based Violence. Reporting to the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic), the role coordinates across Student Services, People and Culture, Governance and Risk, IT Services, Legal, Marketing and academic areas.

This fixed-term, part-time appointment will focus on governance, risk, dependencies and a structured handover into business-as-usual

Qualifications

  • Postgraduate qualifications, progress towards postgraduate qualifications, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and education/training.
  • Significant experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects or programs within a large organisation.
  • Demonstrated success coordinating cross-functional initiatives and building productive stakeholder relationships.
  • Experience establishing governance, compliance, reporting and assurance frameworks that support organisational and regulatory objectives.
  • Strong capability in project planning, risk management, dependency management and delivery oversight.
  • Experience working with data, reporting processes, systems implementation or process integration activities.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, including preparing reports, briefings and recommendations for senior stakeholders.
  • Experience supporting organisational change and embedding sustainable business-as-usual practices.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the university’s implementation program, bringing together people, systems and processes to deliver UniSC’s obligations under the National Higher Education Code to Prevent and Respond to Gender-based Violence.
  • Build alignment across diverse stakeholder groups, establishing clear governance, accountability, reporting and assurance arrangements that support sustainable outcomes.
  • Drive delivery and manage complexity, overseeing implementation plans, risks, dependencies, evidence requirements and system readiness across multiple portfolios.
  • Embed long-term capability and ownership, supporting organisational change and the successful transition of processes, systems and responsibilities into business-as-usual operations.
