Job summary

University of the Sunshine Coast is seeking an experienced leader to head the implementation program for Gender-based Violence prevention and response obligations. You will coordinate cross-functional teams from Student Services, People and Culture, Governance and Risk Management, IT, Legal and Marketing to deliver governance, assurance, and sustainable outcomes.

The role reports to the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic) and requires navigating complex stakeholder groups, managing dependencies,

Qualifications

• Postgraduate qualifications or progress towards postgraduate qualifications.
• Significant experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects or programs within a large organisation.
• Demonstrated success coordinating cross-functional initiatives and building productive stakeholder relationships.
• Experience establishing governance, compliance, reporting and assurance frameworks that support organisational and regulatory objectives.
• Strong capability in project planning, risk management, dependency management and delivery oversight.
• Experience working with data, reporting processes, systems implementation or process integration activities.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, including preparing reports for senior stakeholders.
• Experience supporting organisational change and embedding sustainable business-as-usual practices.
• Knowledge of gender-based violence prevention and response, trauma-informed approaches, or related policy frameworks.
• Experience delivering initiatives within higher education, government or another complex regulated environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the university’s implementation program, aligning people, systems and processes to deliver obligations under the National Higher Education Code.
• Establish governance, accountability, reporting and assurance arrangements across portfolios.
• Manage delivery plans, risks, dependencies and system readiness for multiple portfolios.
• Embed long-term capability and ownership, supporting transition of processes into business-as-usual operations.
