The University of Melbourne is seeking a trauma-informed specialist to provide support to students and staff affected by gender-based violence within the Safer Community Program. You will guide colleagues and influence safer practices across the University.
You will apply national codes and risk frameworks in a complex, values-driven setting while maintaining confidential records and delivering capacity-building workshops across campuses.

You will provide specialist, trauma-informed support to students and staff impacted by gender-based violence. You will guide colleagues and influence safer practices across the University’s Safer Community Program. You will deepen your expertise applying national codes and risk frameworks in a complex, values-driven setting.
You will join Student and Scholarly Services within the Chief Operating Officer Portfolio, a collaborative team that supports students from first enquiry to graduation. The Safer Community Program leads University-wide responses to concerning, threatening and harmful behaviours, partnering closely with faculties and central divisions. You will work with committed professionals who value evidence-informed practice, prevention and early intervention, and who are focused on building a safer, more respectful environment for every member of the University community.
