Job summary

Securitas Australia AB is hiring casual Security Officers in VIC to manage access at client facilities, monitor CCTV and systems, and deliver exceptional customer service. This role emphasizes safety, property protection, and professional conduct as part of a diverse team.

You will work shifts in Mentone and Moorabbin with a focus on data entry, reporting, and adherence to site SOPs while upholding the company values of Integrity, Vigilance, and Helpfulness.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid VIC Security License
• Current First Aid & CPR
• Valid Driver's License & Car
• Excellent communication skills, punctual and reliable
• Be able to work independently, self -aware, motivated, and able to work as part of the team
• Be proactive, whilst maintaining discretion and confidentiality
• Previous gatehouse experience is highly desirable but not compulsory

Responsibilities

• Provide a security service in line with SOPs and client requirements to protect staff and assets.
• Deliver high levels of customer service reflecting Integrity, Vigilance and Helpfulness.
• Conduct site patrols, access control, and respond to incidents.
• Greet visitors, issue keys/cards to contractors, and monitor activities for safety.
• Protect people and property and assist with incident reporting.
• Prepare reports using MS Word/Excel and related tools.
• Monitor CCTV, emergency management and fire systems.
• Approximately 90% of the role involves data entry and computer use.

About the role

Our client is a world leading bottler and distributor of non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages in Australia. Having National presence across 5 major States with multiple facilities including manufacturing and logistics; we are looking for highly skilled Security Officers with experience in gatehouse logistics / data entry to manage access into their facilities while observing and reporting on all Security, Transport and Property related matters.

Security team at these locations plays an important role in the logistical management, safety and security of the site. As the first point of contact visitors and staff have when entering the facility, security officers on this location need to leave a lasting impression of exceptional customer service.

This position is available in Mentone and Moorabbin for this particular client, we encourage Officers who have worked in Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) environments to apply for this role.

Job Type: Casual - Day and Night Shifts based on operational requirements.

Key Tasks

• Provide a security service in line with the site SOP’s and client's requirements in order to protect the client’s employees, property and other assets.
• Deliver the highest levels of customer service which consistently demonstrate Securitas’ core values of Integrity, Vigilance and Helpfulness.
• Site patrols, Access Control and responding to incidents around the site
• Greeting visitors and employees, issuing keys/cards to authorized contractors and monitoring their activities for safety and compliance.
• Protection of people and property
• Report writing, Microsoft Application, advance use of Excel, word and Outlook.
• Monitor and use CCTV application, Emergency Management and Fire Systems.
• About 90% of the role is data entry (computer proficiency is essential)
