Job summary

Northern Beaches Council is seeking a landscape maintenance operative to support parks and recreation within the Northern Beaches LGA. You will perform maintenance in commercial centres and assist with minor infrastructure repairs to keep spaces safe and welcoming for the community.

The role emphasizes teamwork, safety, and delivering quality public spaces. Applicants should have a White Card, a C Class Driver's Licence, and relevant horticultural experience; a Chemical Certificate is an asset

Qualifications

• White Card (General Construction Induction Card) is required.
• C Class Driver's Licence with a good driving record is required.
• 6 months Parks & Gardens, landscaping or horticulture experience is preferred.
• Chemical Certificate or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Perform landscape maintenance within the commercial centres of the Northern Beaches LGA.
• Carry out minor repairs of infrastructure within the commercial areas.
• Work cohesively in a team to deliver a safe environment for the community.

Salary Range: $67,773.08 to $78,763.34 per annum + super (subject to skills and experience)

About you:

What you will need:

• A white card (General Construction Induction Card)
• Minimum C Class Driver's License with a good driving record as you will be required to drive the council vehicles to and from sites.
• Minimum 6 months parks & gardens, landscaping or horticulture experience.
• Chemical Certificate or willingness to obtain one.
