Job summary

Northern Beaches Council is recruiting a Car Park Attendant in Sydney's Manly CBD to support daily operations across off-street stations and street meters. The role involves cash handling, customer assistance at gates, and routine maintenance of car park equipment.

The position is permanent, full-time (38 hours per week) with a salary range of AU$64,206.30 to AU$74,617.94 plus super, depending on skills and experience.

Reporting to the Senior Car Park Attendant, the Car Park Attendant is responsible for assisting in the running of Council’s car parking facilities through the efficient and effective daily operation of the Off-Street Parking Stations within the Manly CBD, Dee Why PCYC and the parking meters both on-street and in reserves.

Responsibilities

• Enhancing customer satisfaction through consistent, responsive and polite handling of enquiries
• Ensuring all gates and shutters are in good working order and reporting as necessary
• Conducting carpark checks and ensuring all equipment and council assets are in good working order
• Cash handling and management
• Collecting parking fees through the parking management system and issuing receipts
• Providing customer assistance at entry, exit gates and carparks
• Carrying out minor repairs, maintenance and cleaning of car park equipment
• Maintaining and updating lists of Council permit and pass-card holders
• Conducting periodic checks on permanent permit holders to ensure they are complying with the rules for their use
