Ballina Shire Council on the Far North Coast of NSW invites an experienced Ganger to join our road construction team. Reporting to the supervisor, you will provide on-site supervision of a small crew to deliver earthworks, pavement surfacing, drainage and concreting with a focus on quality and safety.

Qualificações

• Proven experience and ability to perform a range of road construction and maintenance functions, including earthworks, pavement, drainage and concrete work.
• Demonstrated ability to motivate and supervise a team.
• Proven good communication skills, both oral and written.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Position

We are currently seeking a suitably experienced and enthusiastic individual to join Council's road construction team. Reporting to the supervisor, the position of Ganger provides high level onsite assistance to monitor and supervise a small team of employees to deliver quality road construction activities, including earthworks, pavement surfacing, drainage and concreting.

• Demonstrated ability to motivate and supervise a team.
• Proven experience in the operation of various plant items including basic mechanical knowledge.
• Proven good communication skills, both oral and written.
• Demonstrated good customer service skills with the ability to communicate with the community in a professional and courteous manner.
