Job summary

Ballina Shire Council on the Far North Coast of New South Wales invites a suitably experienced Ganger to join the road construction team. Reporting to the supervisor, you will supervise a small crew and deliver earthworks, pavement surfacing, drainage and concreting to a high standard on local projects.

The role rewards a strong salary ($65,700 to $75,600 per annum plus 12% super) and flexible arrangements, with ongoing professional development and a supportive, safety‑driven workplace culture

• Experience in road construction and maintenance including earthworks, pavement, drainage and concrete work.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Position

We are currently seeking a suitably experienced and enthusiastic individual to join Council's road construction team. Reporting to the supervisor, the position of Ganger provides high level onsite assistance to monitor and supervise a small team of employees to deliver quality road construction activities, including earthworks, pavement surfacing, drainage and concreting.

• Demonstrated ability to motivate and supervise a team.

• Demonstrated good customer service skills with the ability to communicate with the community in a professional and courteous manner.
