Job summary

Edge Hill Tavern in Far North Queensland is seeking a Gaming Manager to own the gaming room operations with high-touch customer service and impeccable presentation. You will lead a host team, coach staff, and ensure 100% compliance while delivering a welcoming, high-energy gaming environment.

The role requires hands-on leadership, a strong knowledge of gaming compliance, and RSA/RSG as per state requirements. This on-site position offers growth within the ALH Hotels network.

Qualifications

• Experience in gaming room operations (attendant/supervisor/manager).
• Ability to perform hands-on tasks and lift/move stock safely.
• Strong leadership and customer service mindset.
• Good knowledge of compliance and safe gaming.
• Current RSA and RSG as per state requirements.

Are you an experienced gaming specialist ready to take total operational ownership of a bustling 45 machine gaming room in Far North Queensland? The Edge Hill Tavern is looking for a driven, customer-focused Gaming Manager who knows how to deliver high-touch player service, maintain immaculate room presentation, and keep a high-trade lounge firing at peak performance!

"The Edge" blends high-tempo tropical trade with a deeply loyal local community. Whether you are managing room flow during a busy weekend jackpot run, greeting our regulars by name, or coaching your host team on fast payout execution and RSG compliance, this role demands a leader who loves being right at the center of the action. We need someone with sharp operational instincts who can balance the books to the cent, maintain 100% airtight compliance, and create an energetic, welcoming room atmosphere every single shift.

A day in the life of a Gaming Manager:

• Know the regulars by name and make them feel right at home
• Work closely with the Publican to keep the room running smoothly, safely, and within all the rules

Inherent requirements:

This is a hands-on role that involves manual handling and lifting as part of regular duties (e.g. moving stock, kegs, and deliveries). Applicants must have the ability to perform physical tasks safely and efficiently.

About you:

• You’ve been in the gaming room world for a while, as an attendant, supervisor, or manager
• You’ve learned from great managers and are ready to step up
• You’ve got the confidence, pride, and people skills to be the face of the gaming room
• You understand compliance and safe gaming inside out
• You’ve got a current RSA and RSGas per state requirements
