Job summary

Kent Town Hotel is seeking an experienced Gaming Attendant to deliver professional, welcoming service in the gaming room and bar. The role focuses on compliance, responsible gambling, accurate payouts, and daily procedures, with casual shifts across evenings and weekends.

You’ll monitor the floor, assist patrons, complete logs, and support the Gaming Manager to keep operations compliant and guest‑focused. RSA and RSG certificates are required.

Job description

The gaming room is a key part of the Kent Town Hotel, and we're looking for an experienced Gaming Attendant who takes pride in creating a welcoming, professional and well-run gaming environment.

This role is about more than payouts and keeping an eye on the machines. You'll get to know our regulars, welcome new patrons, work with our members program and help create the kind of service that keeps people coming back.

Just as importantly, you'll take ownership of the compliance responsibilities that come with working in gaming - from responsible gambling and patron welfare through to accurate payouts, documentation and daily gaming procedures.

This is a casual role suited to someone who genuinely enjoys gaming operations, understands the importance of compliance and can provide great service every shift.

While gaming will be the primary focus of the role, bar work will also form part of your shifts, so we're looking for someone comfortable jumping behind the bar when required.

This is a casual position, with potential for additional shifts across other areas of the hotel for the right person. If you're flexible, reliable and keen to get involved, there is plenty of opportunity to build your hours and develop within the venue.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

• Delivering professional, warm, and discreet service throughout the gaming room and bar.
• Monitoring the gaming floor, identifying at-risk patrons, and responding with care and confidence.
• Processing payouts, managing TAB enquiries, and keeping the gaming area spotless and secure.
• Completing all required documentation, logs, and incident reports accurately and on time.
• Applying RSA and RSG obligations on every shift — no exceptions.
• Supporting the Gaming Manager in keeping the operation compliant, professional, and guest-focused.

YOU ARE

• Professional, calm, and comfortable working in a compliance-focused environment.
• Holder of current RSA and RSG 1 (RSG 2+ advantageous).
• Genuinely committed to responsible gambling and patron welfare.
• Reliable, discreet, and detail-oriented in everything you do.
• Available for casual shifts including evenings and weekends.
