Job summary

White Rabbit Gallery in Sydney is seeking an Operations & Team Supervisor to keep one of the city’s distinctive cultural spaces running smoothly. The role is hands-on, supporting visitor experience across front-of-house while ensuring behind-the-scenes operations run seamlessly.

You will lead a large front-of-house team, foster a positive workplace culture, and act as the key contact for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring clear, confidential communication.

Qualifications

• Experience managing operations in a complex, public-facing environment.
• Proven ability to lead a large front-of-house or visitor-facing team.
• Strong HR and people-management capabilities, including recruitment and onboarding.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day front-of-house and back-of-house operations across the gallery.
• Lead workforce management including rostering, timesheets, recruitment and training.
• Support HR processes and staff communications, including performance conversations.
• Ensure workplace and visitor safety, emergency planning and WHS/OHS compliance.
• Respond to visitor concerns and service escalations professionally and confidentially.
• Maintain accurate internal records and operational reporting.
• Coordinate teahouse operations with the Teahouse Supervisor.
• Regularly review processes for continuous improvement and policy compliance.
