Life Without Barriers Education in Newcastle is seeking a Youth Worker to support student wellbeing, engagement and learning in a safe, inclusive and trauma-informed environment. Permanent full-time; join a team that includes teachers and other youth workers to help students build confidence, resilience and life skills through wellbeing programs and personalised support.

Qualifications

Relevant qualifications in Education Support or Youth Work or similar.
Demonstrated experience engaging and supporting young people with complex needs and families.
High level communication skills with young people, families and communities.
Strong organisational skills for wellbeing and engagement programs.

Responsabilités

Support student learning and engagement through in-class assistance and wellbeing programs.
Foster a safe, inclusive and trauma-informed environment.
Build positive relationships with young people and families to promote wellbeing and life skills.
Collaborate with teachers, teams and community agencies for integrated support.
Participate in school routines, activities and professional development.
Maintain records and comply with child safety and organisational policies.
