Job summary

Sushi Culture Box Hill is seeking two experienced cooks for full-time positions, offering AU$80,000 per annum plus superannuation. To be successful, candidates must hold a CIII or CIV certificate in commercial cookery and have at least 1 year of relevant kitchen experience, plus a strong team-first approach and solid hygiene knowledge.

Qualifications

• Have CIII or CIV certificate in commercial cookery/kitchen management.
• Have at least 1 year of relevant experience in a commercial kitchen.
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of hygiene and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, season, cook and present a variety of Japanese and Asian dishes.
• Examine food to ensure quality and consistency before and after cooking.
• Plan and organize the preparation and cooking process to meet service schedules.
• Manage stock levels and order food supplies as needed.
• Ensure hygiene, cleanliness and safe food handling at all times.
• Assist with training and supervision of junior kitchen staff where required.
• Collaborate with the team to develop and refine menu items.
• Maintain a clean and efficient workstation in compliance with food safety regulations.
