Job summary

Allam FreshPro, a fresh produce retail/wholesale business at Sydney Markets, Homebush West, NSW, is seeking a Full Time Shop/Retail Manager. You will oversee retail operations, online orders, stock control, pricing and supplier coordination to drive growth and profitability.

You will manage inventory, supervise staff, ensure food safety and WHS compliance, and implement promotions to boost revenue while delivering excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• 12 months of relevant experience in retail operations or store management (fresh produce preferred).
• Strong knowledge of stock control, merchandising, pricing and sales operations.
• Ability to coordinate daily store activities and supervise staff as required.
• Excellent communication, customer service and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage overall operations of Allam FreshPro's retail business, including online sales and fulfilment.
• Determine product ranges, stock levels and quality standards for fresh produce and groceries.
• Manage purchasing, negotiate supplier prices and delivery arrangements.
• Develop pricing, sales and promotions to increase revenue and profitability.
• Oversee online product listings and digital promotions for online sales.
• Manage inventory, stock replenishment and stock rotation to minimise wastage.
• Coordinate order picking, packing and dispatch with delivery personnel.
• Monitor sales, customer trends and market conditions for growth opportunities.
• Coordinate marketing and promotional activities including social media.
• Supervise staff, allocate duties and monitor performance across stock handling and customer service.
• Monitor financial transactions and prepare operational reports; manage budgets and expenses.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene and WHS requirements.
