Job summary

Snooze Rutherford in Queensland is seeking a full-time Sales Consultant to welcome customers, understand their sleep needs and provide friendly, personalised service. You will join a team that values strong communication and a hands-on approach to merchandising and store operations.

The role involves rotating weekends and public holidays, stock handling, and learning product knowledge. Prior retail or furniture experience is preferred but not essential; a clean Police Check is required.

• Previous retail experience is preferred but not essential.
• Must be able to build rapport with customers and understand their needs.
• Willingness to learn product knowledge and adapt quickly.
• Ability to work a roaster with regular weekends and public holidays.

Our new Snooze Rutherford storeis seeking an experienced Full-time Sales Consultant who is a confident communicator, who loves talking to people and knows how to build strong relationships while striving to provide sleep solutions.

Although sales experience is preferred, with a good memory for information and a superb attitude, we can teach you the rest!

Expect to work retail hours, including a roster of regular rotating weekends, some weekdays, late night trading and public holidays where required. Due to the inherent requirements of this role you must be able to provide a clean Federal Police Check.

• Collaborate with your team in day-to-day retail store operations – you will be merchandising bedrooms, lifting stock, keeping the store clean, learning, operating computers, and walking the floor.

The successful candidate has:

• Confidence in talking with people. You are verbally confident and engaging
• Previous retail experience within a furniture/bulky goods retail environment is highly regarded, but not essential
• Strong interpersonal skills. We work as a team at Snooze
• Attention to detail and organisational skills
• A willingness to learn lots of product knowledge and adapt
• The necessary fitness to walk the floor throughout the day and the physical strength to carry heavy stock safely, from time to time
• The ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
