Job summary

Tableland Fertilizer is seeking a dedicated Sales Assistant for our retail team in Atherton, Queensland. This full-time role puts you at the front line of customer service, helping customers find products and delivering knowledgeable guidance on fertilizers and agricultural supplies.

You will process sales, maintain stock and assist with store operations, while building lasting customer relationships and contributing to a safe, welcoming shop floor.

Qualifications

• Retail or customer service experience preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient with point-of-sale systems.
• Reliable, punctual and committed to quality service.
• Physical ability to lift and handle products safely.
• Willingness to learn about fertilizer products.
• Team player with flexibility during busy periods.
• Forklift license or experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, knowledgeable customer service to retail customers and assist with product selection.
• Process sales transactions accurately using POS systems.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked retail environment.
• Handle stock receiving and verification, logging and storage of products.
• Build positive relationships with customers and identify opportunities to upsell.
• Support store operations and administrative tasks as required.
• Assist with promotions and events to drive customer engagement.
• Maintain health and safety standards on the shop floor.
