Job summary

Tableland Fertilizer is seeking a Sales Assistant to join our Mareeba store in Queensland. This full-time position focuses on delivering outstanding customer service and supporting daily store operations.

You will help customers with product queries, process sales, and maintain stock displays while collaborating with the team. The role requires reliability, good numeracy, and a willingness to work Saturday mornings.

Qualifications

Proven experience in a retail or customer-facing role.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Solid numeracy and cash-handling accuracy.

Responsibilities

Welcoming customers and providing friendly, knowledgeable assistance with product enquiries and recommendations.
Processing sales transactions accurately and efficiently using point-of-sale systems.
Maintaining a clean, well-organised store environment with proper product displays and stock rotation.
Assisting with stock receipt, unpacking, and shelf replenishment throughout the day.
Building positive relationships with regular customers and encouraging repeat business.
Supporting promotional activities and ensuring marketing materials are displayed appropriately.
Operating cash registers and managing payments, including cash, card, and other payment methods.
Performing other duties as assigned to support team operations.
