Job summary

The Criterion Hotel Dalby, part of Waymark Hotels, is seeking a Cook or Chef to join our team and deliver diverse, modern cuisine using fresh local produce.

As a Chef/Cook you will maintain an efficient kitchen across venues, ensure high-quality meals on time, manage stock rotation, support menu changes, and contribute to a supportive kitchen team environment. On-site role with flexible hospitality hours.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a fast-paced commercial kitchen.
• Availability to work any hospitality hours.
• Ability to work well under a high-pressure environment.
• Brilliant communication skills to all team members.
• Applicants should have formal qualifications and at least 1 years of relevant employment experience or, in the absence of formal qualifications, have at least 3 years of relevant employment experience.

Responsibilities

• Assisting our team in maintaining an efficient and proactive kitchen operation across both venues.
• Ensuring all meals are of high quality and are prepared on time.
• Utilising a variety of fresh, frozen, and prepared ingredients to prepare, cook, and present a range of dishes according to a seasonal menu.
• Practising effective stock rotation and wastage minimisation procedures.
• Assisting with menu changes when required.
