Coffee Iconic Pty Ltd in Brisbane seeks an energetic Chef to join our fast-paced cafe kitchen. You will bring 1–2 years of commercial kitchen experience, contribute to menu costing, food prep, and daily operations, and ensure top quality dishes under busy service conditions.

The role requires AQF Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or Diploma in Hospitality Management (or equivalent), strong HACCP knowledge, and good teamwork with junior staff supervision. On-site in CBD cafe environment.

Formación

• AQF Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or Diploma in Hospitality Management or equivalent qualifications.
• 1–2 years of relevant commercial kitchen experience as a Chef.
• Experience with menu costing, food preparation and high-volume cafe/restaurant service.
• Strong knowledge of HACCP, food safety management and kitchen hygiene.
• Excellent team communication, basic leadership, and ability to supervise junior staff.

Responsabilidades

• Design, test, and cost seasonal brunch/cafe menus for high-volume CBD trade.
• Oversee daily kitchen operations to meet quality, taste and presentation standards during peak service.
• Control food cost, manage portions, inventory and supplier orders for profitability.
• Supervise, schedule and mentor junior cooks and kitchen staff on techniques and safety.
• Maintain HACCP compliance and WHS protocols.

• Proven ability to handle food preparation, menu costing, and daily kitchen operations under fast-paced cafe/restaurant service conditions.
• Strong knowledge of food safety management, HACCP compliance, and commercial kitchen hygiene practices.
• Excellent team communication, basic leadership skills, and the ability to supervise junior kitchen staff and coordinate kitchen rosters.
• Must have full working rights in Australia with appropriate English language capabilities suitable for the role.
