Job summary

Amazon Inc. in Sydney, Australia seeks an experienced Operations Supervisor/Process Assistant for our Morebank Fulfillment Center. You will support the Area Manager and handle process-path duties such as receive, stow, pick, pack or ship.

Schedule is Wednesday to Saturday, 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM, with 38+ hours weekly and overtime as required. The role requires proven leadership in manufacturing/distribution/warehousing, strong communication, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Flexible schedule including weekends, nights, or holidays.
• Availability to work 38 hours+/week, and overtime as required.
• Experience leading teams in manufacturing/distribution/warehousing/retail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Support and work in Inbound and other departments as required
• Assist in daily management of department duties, including allocating labor, leading meetings, assigning job duties
• Provide coverage for Area Managers
• Tracking and reporting of ATS/labor hours
• Assisting the floor as an associate resource, training associates and verifying SOP compliance
• Ensuring successful area performance, through tracking, reporting and feedback of associate performance
• Participating in Operational Excellence initiatives in some capacity
• Fully understanding workflow and daily production goals
• Assisting in keeping work area clean and organised
• Identifying and addressing safety hazards within the work area
• Coaching associates to work safely at all times
• Referring all job injuries immediately to area manager
• Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays
• Availability to work 38 hours+/week, and overtime as required
• Previous experience leading teams
• Experience working within a similar field (manufacturing/distribution/warehousing/large retail)
• Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills to coach, train, and assist team members
• Experience working with computers and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
