Job summary

JBS Riverina Plant is seeking an experienced FSQA Officer to join the team full-time. Reporting to the QA Manager, you will monitor and report on product hygiene and food safety, and help rectify issues to ensure a high-quality product.

The role requires FSQA or QA experience in the meat industry, AUS-Meat competency, strong communication, and the ability to work both autonomously and in a team within a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in FSQA or QA within the meat industry is advantageous.
• Completion of AUS-Meat competency levels and any required authorities qualifications.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Basic supervision skills are beneficial.
• Demonstrable problem-solving ability is required.
• Knowledge of workplace health and safety is important.
• Proficiency in Excel, Word and Outlook is expected.
• Ability to prioritise and multitask effectively.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Capable of working autonomously as well as in a team.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, report and rectify issues within product and hygiene and food safety throughout the Plant.
• Contribute to ensuring the production of a quality product.
• Collaborate with QA Manager and other team members to maintain compliance and continuous improvement.

JBS Riverina is currently recruiting an experienced Food Safety and Quality Assurance Officer (FSQA) Officer to join the team in a full-time capacity. Reporting to the QA Manager, the FSQA Officer will play an integral role in monitoring, reporting, and rectifying issues within product, hygiene and food safety throughout the Plant and ensuring the production of a quality product.

About You

• Previous experience in a similar FSQA or QA role within the meat industry advantageous
• Successful completion of the required AUS-Meat levels of competency and any other qualifications required by statutory authorities

JBS Australia is the largest and most respected meat and food producer in Australia. Situated on 2,000ha, the JBS Riverina Plant is a part of the Riverina integrated farming, feedlot and processing operation. The cattle are walked from the feedlot to the plant, minimising stress and transportation costs, while simultaneously improving eating quality – one of only two in the southern hemisphere. Based just outside Yanco, between the popular townships of Leeton and Narrandera in the heart of the Murrumbidgee Irrigation district (or Riverina region), our location ensures the ability to source high quality feeder cattle and grain to produce premium beef. The plant employs approximately 500 team members with a processing capacity of 600 head of cattle per day.
