Job summary

Feel Good Foods is seeking a Distribution Operations Manager in Victoria. You will own day-to-day warehouse and transport logistics, working on the floor with a crew of warehouse staff, drivers and coordinators to ensure orders leave the building efficiently.

Lead frontline operations, implement system improvements, and drive peak-season performance while maintaining high safety and quality standards across Ambient, Chilled and Frozen zones.

Qualifications

• Direct, practical experience with RF-SMART WMS or similar inventory platforms.
• Proven track record managing inventory across ambient, chilled, and frozen categories.
• 3+ years in a Warehouse Manager/Logistics/Operations Manager role in food/Beverage/FMCG.

Responsibilities

• Lead from the warehouse floor, handling inbound receiving, picking, packing, and forklift operations during peak periods.
• Oversee end-to-end inventory in Ambient, Chilled and Frozen zones with safe handling and stock rotation.
• Master RF-SMART WMS workflows, maximize scanning accuracy, and minimise picking anomalies.
• Uphold HACCP/ACO health, safety and hygiene standards across all zones.
• Hire, train and schedule drivers and warehouse staff to build a cohesive, can-do team.

Job description

As our Distribution Operations Manager, you will take full ownership of our day-to-day warehouse and transport logistics. This is not a hands-off desk job. You will lead from the front line, working directly alongside your crew of a warehouse manager, warehouse 2IC, fleet coordinator, storepersons and delivery drivers. While you will drive strategic efficiency and system improvements, you will also be right there on the warehouse floor—actively picking, packing, and dispatching orders during peak seasons to ensure our premium products get out the door seamlessly.

Team head count of approximately 20+ staff.

Key responsibilities

Lead from the warehouse floor by actively jumping into inbound receiving, stock picking, heavy packing, and high-reach forklift operations—especially during high-volume peak periods.

Oversee end-to-end inventory storage, accurate stock rotation, and safe handling across three distinct temperature zones: Ambient, Chilled, and Frozen.

Own our warehouse workflows by mastering and advancing our RF-SMART WMS system, maximizing scanning accuracy, and eliminating picking anomalies.

Enforce and personally uphold impeccable health, safety, and hygiene regulations across all temperature zones (HACCP/ACO standards).

Hire, train, and schedule drivers and warehouse assistants, fostering a tight-knit culture centred around a hardworking, "can-do" attitude.

About you

Direct, practical experience working with RF-SMART WMS or closely related modern inventory management platforms.

Proven background managing inventory across ambient, chilled, and frozen food categories.

A true "lead-by-example" professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in working shoulder-to-shoulder with their team.

3+ years in a Warehouse Manager, Logistics Supervisor, or Operations Manager role within the food, beverage, or FMCG industry.

A Medium Rigid (MR) truck licence is a major bonus.

Solid understanding of Australian food safety standards, HACCP protocols, and heavy vehicle transport compliance.
