Job summary

Kyogle Council is seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our frontline maintenance crew. You will service and repair plant and fleet equipment and help keep the workshop safe, efficient, and well-documented. This role offers real community impact and a supportive team environment.

You'll bring trade qualifications, experience with earthmoving and vehicles, and the ability to work independently while following directions. A White Card, HC licence, and relevant tickets are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Trade-qualified MVRIC Mechanic with applicable license
• Experience with earthmoving and heavy/light vehicles
• WHS Induction (White Card) completed
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Able to work independently and follow directions
• Licences/tickets: HC, RMS AIS, Forklift, First Aid, Confined Space

Responsibilities

• Service and repair a range of plant and fleet equipment
• Keep the workshop running safely and efficiently
• Report faults and maintain accurate records
• Work as part of a tight, reliable team
• Lead by example with safe work practices
