Job summary

Griffith City Council in Griffith, NSW, is seeking two qualified mechanics to maintain and repair Council plant, vehicles, pumps and motors. The roles require a current Motor Mechanic licence, diesel engine experience and a valid Australian driver licence.

Position Title : Mechanic X 2 positions Closing Date : 5 October 2026 Salary : Commencement annual salary range from $78,802.36 to $86,684.52 (Grade 11), plus superannuation a Rostered day off once a fortnight and tool allowance applicable. Employment Type : Permanent, (38 hours per week)

About the Role

To provide and apply tradesman like mechanical skills for the efficient maintenance and repair of Council plant, vehicles, equipment, pumps and motors both in workshop and infield situations.

Qualifications

The successful applicant will need to be a qualified mechanic with a current Motor Mechanic licence and have experience working on diesel engines and hold a current Australian driver licence. Please include copies of all relevant licences and qualifications with your application.
