Job summary

Dungog Shire Council is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead the delivery of frontline services across civil construction, open space maintenance, and quarry operations, ensuring high-quality outcomes for the community.

Reporting to the Manager Infrastructure Services, this role provides leadership across multiple teams, manages budgets, contracts, procurement and safety, governance and compliance within the Infrastructure & Assets Directorate.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience in civil works or related operational service delivery functions.
• Strong knowledge of workplace health and safety, risk management and environmental compliance.
• Financial and contract management including budgeting and procurement.

Responsibilities

• Lead frontline operational services across civil construction, open space, quarry operations and weeds/biosecurity programs.
• Coordinate teams, resources and contractors to deliver safe, efficient services.
• Manage budgets, contracts and procurement in line with Council's objectives.
• Collaborate with internal teams and the community to ensure sustainable infrastructure delivery.
