Job summary

Orange City Council seeks a strategic, people‑focused leader to become Manager Works in the Infrastructure Directorate. You will oversee road, drainage and civil projects, setting strategic direction for asset management and service delivery across a large workforce.

You will report to the Director Infrastructure and influence decisions that enhance community outcomes in regional NSW, while upholding safety and continuous improvement across all works activities.

Qualifications

• Significant experience delivering civil infrastructure construction, maintenance and asset management programs.
• Proven success leading large operational teams within safety‑critical environments.
• Strong strategic capability across planning, budgeting, risk management and resource allocation.
• Experience developing and implementing long‑term infrastructure and asset management strategies.

Responsibilities

• Oversee delivery of road construction and maintenance, drainage and civil projects.
• Provide strategic and operational leadership across Council's Works Section.
• Drive safety, continuous improvement and long‑term asset sustainability.
