Job summary

Eco Outdoor is seeking a Software Engineer to own and evolve our Next.js and React site, deployed on Vercel, ensuring fast, reliable releases with solid CI/CD. You'll also connect systems like NetSuite and Shopify and support MAX, our AI agent platform, as the technology function grows.

You'll collaborate with product, marketing and technology teams, plus external partners, to deliver platform capabilities beyond the website and maintain documentation for long-term maintainability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in information technology, software engineering, computer science or a closely related field.
• Strong hands-on experience with Next.js, React and Vercel - core to the role, not a nice-to-have
• Solid integrations and API skills, with genuine comfort working on systems beyond the website
• Real CI/CD experience - you care about the pipeline as much as the product
• Experience writing unit and end-to-end tests
• A full understanding of Agile and experience working in a regular sprint cycle
• Comfort owning a platform end to end, including performance and reliability
• Confidence with AI-enabled engineering and IDEs like Cursor and Antigravity
• Clear communication - explain technical trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders
• Ability to switch contexts between customer-facing work and systems plumbing
• Good judgement on scope and prioritization
• Collaborative style with product/marketing/tech teams and external staff
• Nice to have: Contentstack or similar headless CMS, NetSuite or similar ERP, or AI/agent platforms
• Nice to have: postgraduate IT qualification; Contentstack or similar CMS, NetSuite or ERP, or AI platforms

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve Next.js/React/Vercel website architecture and build responsive interfaces
• Lay platform foundations for online sampling and new digital capabilities
• Integrate with systems like NetSuite and Shopify and support AI agent platform MAX
• Ensure production issues are resolved quickly and risks managed
• Maintain documentation for long-term maintainability
• Deliver high-quality code through CI/CD with reliable releases
• Write and maintain unit/integration/end-to-end tests
• Review code and continuously improve build processes
• Collaborate with product, marketing and technology teams and external partners
