Job summary

Eco Outdoor is seeking a Software Engineer to bring our website and digital products in-house, based in Waterloo, NSW. You will own the Next.js/React/Vercel stack, build fast, accessible interfaces, and lay foundations for new digital capabilities such as online sampling.

You’ll connect systems like NetSuite and Shopify and support our AI agent platform as it grows. You’ll work with product, marketing and technology teams, external partners and vendors to ship high-quality code with robust

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in information technology, software engineering, computer science or closely related field.
• Strong hands-on experience with Next.js, React and Vercel – core to the role, not optional.
• Solid integrations and API skills across systems beyond the website.
• Real CI/CD experience and emphasis on reliable pipelines.
• Experience writing unit and end-to-end tests.
• Familiarity with Agile and regular sprint cycles.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve Next.js/React/Vercel website architecture.
• Build responsive, accessible interfaces with quality design.
• Lay platform foundations for new capabilities like online sampling.
• Investigate and fix defects and production issues quickly.
• Manage technical risk: security, performance and dependencies.
• Ship high-quality code through CI/CD to ensure low-drama releases.
• Write and maintain unit, integration and end-to-end tests.
• Review code and continually improve build processes.
• Build and maintain integrations and APIs across the business.
• Support MAX, the AI agent platform, as it expands.
• Document work for long-term maintainability.
