Job summary

IHG Hotels & Resorts in Australia seeks a Duty Manager based in Front Office to oversee hotel operations and deliver a genuinely memorable guest experience. You’ll be the first responder in a crisis and help create a welcoming environment across all areas of the hotel.

You’ll lead guest service, manage team performance, prioritise workload and develop skills to boost hotel performance. Strong English, problem solving and tech savvy with Opera are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Experience in front desk or guest service leadership.
• Excellent communication, problem solving and motivation skills.
• Good reading/writing skills, basic maths and computer literacy.
• Fluency in English; other languages a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead guest experiences, team performance and hotel operations.
• Prioritise workload and ensure teams deliver memorable experiences.
• Develop team skills to drive hotel performance.
• Engage with guests to resolve issues and concerns.
• Be first point of contact for any critical emergencies.
