Job summary

Kareela Golf Club is seeking a Pro Shop Assistant to join our small, tight-knit team on the front line of the club. You’ll be the first face members and visitors see, running the counter, managing the tee sheet, and keeping the shop running smoothly on busy competition days.

This casual/part-time role offers regular shifts across the week and weekend. You’ll be on your feet, solving problems, and joining a crew that takes pride in doing things properly.

Qualifications

Weekend availability is essential.
Experience with cash, card payments, and POS systems.
Strong communication and customer service mindset.
Reliable, presentable, able to work independently after training.
Golf knowledge is a bonus but not required.

Responsibilities

Greet members and visitors, manage bookings, and run the tee sheet using our POS system.
Handle retail sales, EFTPOS and cash transactions, and keep the shop and displays presentable.
Support competition days, including entries, scoring queries, and general event flow.
Manage hire equipment and buggies, including handover and end-of-shift checks.
Keep the pro shop and surrounding areas clean, stocked, and ready for the next shift.
