Job summary

RACV Golf Shops at multiple resort locations invites a friendly Golf Shop Assistant to join our leisure team. You’ll help members and guests enjoy the golfing experience, manage tee times, process payments, and keep shop presentation up to standard.

Ideal candidates bring golf knowledge, strong customer service and a willingness to learn, with RSA and First Aid certifications preferred. Weekend availability is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a golf course environment.
• Strong customer service, communication and rapport-building skills.
• Understanding of golf rules, course etiquette and equipment.
• Ability to handle cash and perform accurate POS transactions.
• Flexible approach to working hours, including weekends.
• Valid driver’s license.
• RSA (or willingness to obtain).
• Experience with POS, EFTPOS or MICLUB systems.
• Knowledge of merchandising, marketing or F&B techniques.
• First Aid or OH&S certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to members, guests and visitors.
• Administer golf course access, process payments, and manage point-of-sale transactions.
• Maintain Golf Shop presentation, product displays and stock knowledge.
• Support golf events, golf days and coordinate with other resort teams.
• Manage the hire, loan and return of equipment, ensuring accuracy and care.
• Stay up to date with golf rules, handicapping, trends and RACV service standards.
• Assist across leisure areas, including providing food and beverage service when required.
• Ensure safe work practices and contribute to a positive team culture.
