Job summary

Mallesons is seeking a solicitor with 2–4 years post-admission experience to join our Sydney-based specialist restructuring and insolvency team. This role sits within the banking and finance group and offers exposure to some of the market’s most significant restructuring matters.

You will work in a collaborative environment that emphasises training and client contact. We are committed to building a team with deep expertise in Australian procedures, and we encourage ambitious lawyers to develop

Qualifications

• Candidates will have a minimum 2 years post-admission experience, preferably with exposure to specialist restructuring & insolvency work in Australia or a similar jurisdiction overseas
• Be able to demonstrate a good understanding of the Australian restructuring and insolvency procedures
• Have a genuine passion to work in a team environment with a focus on collaboration
• Demonstrate attention to detail, organisational skills and a strong work ethic
• Have ambitions to specialise in restructuring & insolvency work and over time take on a senior role in our team

Responsibilities

• Work on complex restructuring and insolvency matters in a collaborative and supportive environment focused on training
• Have direct contact with our broader practice and clients
• Have opportunities to take initiative and responsibility on matters
