Job summary

Cyient is seeking an experienced Front-End Engineering Lead to support mining, minerals and industrial projects from concept through to execution readiness. The role suits an engineer who can shape projects before detailed design and execution, leading concept development, option analysis, value engineering and study runs across multiple stages.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, process, electrical, civil, mining or related engineering discipline.
• 10–14 years of substantial engineering experience within mining, minerals processing, energy, infrastructure or heavy industry.
• Experience in an EPCM, owner’s engineer, engineering consultancy or project development environment.
• Proven capability delivering front-end engineering assignments and technical studies.
• Strong understanding of project development lifecycles, stage-gate processes and engineering maturity.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary engineering teams and complex technical interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering activities across concept, scoping, study and project-definition phases.
• Develop technical roadmaps to mature projects through the study lifecycle.
• Support clients in defining project objectives, requirements, constraints, risks and success criteria.
• Facilitate alignment between operational, maintenance, project and engineering stakeholders.
