A leading mining consultancy in Western Australia seeks a Senior/Lead Project Engineer to drive feasibility studies and bridge project execution. The ideal candidate has over 10 years' mining experience, a Mechanical Engineering degree, and a proven ability to collaborate across disciplines. Qualifications

Role Opportunity

This role is ideal for a Senior/Lead Project Engineer ready to step up into a Lead Studies position. Working closely with the General Manager of Projects you will support the company's growth across its mining, haulage/logistics, and port operations. This is a high-impact role suited to a hands‑on professional who can move fluidly between study and execution while contributing to broader business strategy.

Base Pay Range

A$220,000.00/yr - A$250,000.00/yr

Essential Qualifications and Skills

• Mechanical Engineering degree
• Minimum 10+ years’ mining experience with an EPC contractor or operator
• Strong background in studies, ideally within iron ore mining or processing
• Experience with cost modelling, scheduling, and risk evaluation in a mining context
• Commercially minded with a focus on outcomes rather than process
• Inquisitive, with the ability to engage across the business to identify challenges and bottlenecks

Duties and Responsibilities

• Lead comprehensive feasibility studies, integrating technical, infrastructure, and financial components of mine development and bridging the gap between projects and studies
• Oversee and guide inputs across geology, hydrogeology, pit design, engineering, and infrastructure from third‑party consultants
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure technical studies align with business objectives
• Support the transition from study phase to execution, including project management and delivery
