Job summary

Tss is seeking an experienced civil engineering leader to join a major resources portfolio as Lead Civil Engineer in Perth. This hands-on role delivers civil design and project leadership for an iron ore and energy development, guiding a multidisciplinary team.

You will own technical delivery of civil scope, manage client relationships on scope, schedule and design outcomes, and mentor junior engineers while coordinating with other disciplines. Perth-based with flexible WFH options.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in civil engineering and professional accreditation.
• 15+ years of civil design experience in mining, energy or infrastructure.
• Experience leading a team delivering projects under tight schedules.
• CPEng status and familiarity with local/international standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead civil engineers and designers to meet technical and regulatory requirements.
• Deliver civil scope: roads, earthworks, pads, and general infrastructure.
• Manage scope, align design with client requirements, and resolve discrepancies.
• Promote cross-office workshare and coordinate multi-disciplinary delivery.
• Prepare studies, analyses and calculations to support technical solutions.
• Participate in bid clarifications, evaluations and vendor certification.
• Prepare progress reports and ensure checking procedures are followed.
• Stay updated on civil engineering developments and innovations.
• Mentor site engineers and maintain clear communication with project team and client.
